About the Design

With this design, we aim to solve a pain point that our case owner (the conductor) has in his life. Since the conductor is visually impaired and relies heavily on his iPad for work, communication and daily activities. Therefore, we decided to address the discomfort that he experiences due to prolonged iPad use after some discussions.

The final design features organically shaped wooden structure that extends to the back to support the iPad and redistribute its weight. It is not limited to one viewing angle, but can be adjusted to suit different needs - whether that is working, presenting, having conversation, or using it as a magnifier in public settings.

3 Viewing Positions

Watching Mode

Designed for prolonged passive use, this angle keeps the iPad at eye level to maintain a neutral neck position while watching videos or reading.

Conversation Mode

Set slightly lower, this angle makes it easy to switch between using the iPad and engaging in face-to-face conversations without needing to adjust posture significantly.

Working Mode

This position offers space for hand movement, allowing the user to comfortably interact with the screen. Which is ideal for typing, zooming, or editing.
